Sometimes old wiring just isn't up to it anymore. There may be cold solder joints or weak connections that are sapping you tone, excess wire that is causing grounding issues, or just low quality components that can't be relied upon. Either way, upgrading your wiring is a surefire way of getting your guitar sounding its best. We use vintage .22 gauge cloth wire as standard or braided wire for Gibsons and Epiphones and take great pride in how we connect everything - wiring with precision makes signal runs shorter, puts less strain on the solder joins and keeps everything held solid.

We can talk you through the various options in terms of pot ratings, capacitors, treble bleeds, switching options etc and provide you with a custom quote for your preferences. Please beware when buying premade 'wiring looms' from eBay - they're cheap because they are poorly made with budget parts and are often actually a downgrade on what you already have. If in doubt speak to us first! Prices increase for hollow bodies.

Switch/Jack socket Replacement - £20 + Parts

Switches and jack sockets are usually amongst the first parts in your electronics chain to wear out or just let you down. Worn parts can lead to signal loss, just what you don't want when your melting faces with an awesome solo. Oak Grigsby, Fender and Switchcraft parts stocked as standard. We can also upgrade your regular jack socket to a Pure Tone jack - these have four connectors rather than the usual one, meaning no more cutting out from your jack socket. Prices increase for hollow bodies.

Cavity/pickguard shielding - from £40 (Tele style cavity), £60 (Strat style cavity)

Guitars that naturally produce a lot of ground hum can be annoying, especially when trying to record that killer take. This can usually be helped/remedied by electromagnetically shielding you pickguard and wiring cavities. We use a minimum of three coats of specialist shielding paint for the cavities and copper foil for your pickguards (if required). Your instruments ground points will then be accessed and altered to make you instrument as quiet as possible.
